Alva comes from the Nordic language and translates as "fighting elf." Inspired by the wilderness of nature and the traces of our past, the Alva Poncho offers you protection and warmth on mild, warm days and evenings.
It's made from natural, handwoven cotton and knotted at the bottom to form fine fringes. The fabric is soft and feels soothing against the skin. The poncho is a versatile garment for playful and casual boho styles, for example, when combined with skirts, pants, or leggings.
Did you know? Hand-loom weaving means that the thread is woven into fabric by hand on a loom, without the use of machinery. Hand-woven cotton is made using indigenous weaving techniques by skilled artisans who preserve and pass on their precious traditions.
Please note: Since this is a handwoven and undyed fabric, small darker/colored inclusions are completely normal. The poncho is entirely handmade and therefore cannot be compared to machine-made clothing. Small imperfections make the poncho authentic and special.
Production takes place in Northern Thailand. The seamstresses work stress-free from home and support the local community through their work. All our products are made in small batches and with great attention to detail.
