The Nerina Kimono is a soft, mesh-like kimono made from 100% hand-woven cotton. The fabric is entirely handmade and woven in villages in Northern Thailand, supporting local tradition and culture.

The name Nerina is derived from the Nereids: sea nymphs from Greek mythology, beautiful, graceful, and generally benevolent beings who inhabit the sea.
Production:
Production takes place in Northern Thailand. The seamstresses work stress-free from home, and their work supports the local community. Each Mermaid Kimono is handmade with great attention to detail. Since production takes place in small home-based sewing workshops and the fabrics are entirely hand-woven and hand-dyed, each kimono looks slightly different. Every piece is a one-of-a-kind.
Small knots and irregularities are normal in hand-woven fabrics and are part of their character.

All colors are plant-based. The fabrics are dyed using traditional handcraft methods with only organic ingredients. Due to the hand-dyeing process, slight color variations are possible.

Model's measurements: Laura is 177 cm tall and wears a regular size 36 (EU).
Kimono dimensions:
- Cacao, Natural: 95-100 cm (width) x 78-80 cm (length)
- Rosewood, Indigo, White: approx. 90 cm (width) x approx. 80 cm (length)
As this is handmade, measurements may vary by a few centimeters from kimono to kimono.
Care instructions:
Treat with care, hand wash at max. 30°C with a mild, pH-neutral detergent. Do not soak or tumble dry. Hang in the shade to dry. As this garment is dyed with natural plant-based colors, slight color changes and minor bleeding may occur during the first washes. This underscores the uniqueness and natural quality of the material.
The Natural color is easier to care for and can also be washed in the washing machine, ideally in a laundry bag.
