The Nerina Mesh Scarf is a soft, mesh-like ruched scarf made from 100% hand-woven cotton. The fabric is entirely handmade and woven in villages in Northern Thailand, supporting local tradition and culture.
You can wear it as a headband, scarf, cover-up, or skirt, there are no limits to your creativity. Its exceptional structure gives any outfit that special touch.
The name Nerina is derived from the Nereids: sea nymphs from Greek mythology, beautiful, graceful, and generally benevolent beings who inhabit the sea. They were our inspiration for this mesh-like fabric, whose rustic structure and handmade, imperfect weave carry a touch of mystique and history.
Production:
Production takes place in Northern Thailand. The seamstresses work stress-free from home, and their work supports the local community. Each Nerina Scarf is handmade with great attention to detail. Since production takes place in small home-based sewing workshops and the fabrics are entirely hand-woven, each scarf looks slightly different. Every piece is a one-of-a-kind.
Small knots and irregularities are normal in hand-woven fabrics and are part of their character.
Material: 100% hand-woven cotton. The blend of fine and stronger yarns makes each scarf unique and gives it its soft, lively texture.
